Edinburgh Commercial Women’s Golf Tournament

TOGETHER WE RAISED OVER $19,000 FOR OTAGO COMMUNITY HOSPICE! 

The Edinburgh Commercial Women's Golf Tournament was held at Otago Golf Club on Friday, 22 November, raising over $19,000 for Otago Community Hospice. A record number of teams entered the nine-hole Ambrose tournament, with over 100 women hitting the course for a fantastic day of golf, creative costumes and laughter. Congratulations to this years’ tournament winners: Janine Clauge, Renee Miller and Pip Hannah, AKA The Disco Divots.

A special thank you to Merrin Bath (Edinburgh Realty Commercial), Amy Ruthven (Otago Community Hospice) and Shelley Duncan (Otago Golf Club) for their tremendous efforts in coordinating and hosting this special event.

“This event has grown in popularity since its inception in 2021. Edinburgh Realty are proud sponsors and thrilled to be raising vital funds for Otago Community Hospice and helping get more women playing golf in a supportive and fun environment,” Merrin said. 

Vice Chair of the Otago Community Hospice Trust Board, Merrin, is always thinking of ways to help generate additional funding given Hospice needs to raise at least $3 million in funds each year to help continue to deliver its services at no cost to the wider community.

Thank you to our "Pro" for the day, Anahera Koni, who at just 14 years old recently won the Otago Womens’ Matchplay Golf Championship and to the beautifully spoken and talented  Eden Carson (New Zealand Cricketer), for playing and guest speaking at the prizegiving.
