My role as Department Manager is one I truly value. My extensive property management experience and time as Business Development Manager at Edinburgh has seen me build strong rapport with our clients, tenants, contractors and our fantastic team. In this role I am privileged to be able to combine my previous experience and strong leadership, problem-solving, conflict management and relationship building skills, in order to provide a seamless and positive service to our customers and clients.
Communication is key to developing and retaining flourishing relationships. Customer service is definitely my 'thing' and prior to my career in property management, I was a sales and service manager for seven years. As a natural progression I gained a Diploma in Business - Leadership and Management to further enhance my skillset.
I get a great sense of achievement in co-leading our large team of property managers with my colleague Leighton Jones. Our pro-active and adaptable approach allows us to make logical and level-headed decisions under pressure. We enjoy that no two days are the same and meet all challenges that come our way with a positive mindset.
For me personally, I find training, mentoring and seeing our team succeed incredibly rewarding. Edinburgh's business-wide open-door policy ensures we are supported at all times and we have the added insight and expertise offered from our sales team. Together we strive to be Otago's number one choice for all things Property Management.
Away from the office I enjoy spending quality time with my young family and getting out and about with our very energetic pup, Koda.
