Starting as a Dunedin-based agency in 1995, Edinburgh Realty has grown to become a leading real estate force in Otago. Over the years, we have expanded our reach across the region, now with three strategically located offices in Dunedin, Mosgiel, and Cromwell, serving around 90% of Otago’s population. Our growth is a testament to our dedication to the Otago market and the trust our clients have placed in us.

At Edinburgh Realty, our strength lies in our diverse team of specialists, each focusing on different areas of Otago and various property sectors:
Experienced Leadership: Edinburgh is owned and led by three directors: Peter Wilson (Managing Director), Lane Sievwright, and Mike Dougherty. Peter co-founded the company alongside Jim Columb and Mike Elford and now leads while specialising in lifestyle and rural property. Lane, who joined in 2004, focuses on investment properties, especially student rentals. Mike came on board in 2013 and works alongside Peter in the lifestyle and rural sector. Their combined experience, market insight, and strong connections continue to shape the success of our team.
While no longer shareholders, founding members Jim Columb and Mike Elford remain involved—Jim as a sales consultant in Dunedin, and Mike managing our Cromwell office and selling commercial property.
